To the left of the lions cage was the train tracks as they were about to enter the east trestle and cross over the ravine. The lion cage was on top of the ravine and could be seen from below  at the miniature cars and pony rides,

 The  lion & Tiger cages were opened in 1908 and closed in 1945. The animals were sold to the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.
